Advocating for Native Plants
Every native garden creates habitat, and the more we build, the bigger the impact. We encourage the use of California native plants in Santa Ana through both policy and action, so that our native fauna has a home in our public spaces, yards, parkways, and patios.
Policy
We are working to create a native plant ordinance in Santa Ana so that new landscaping in our city supports local wildlife, saves water, and lowers costs. Learn what the ordinance would do and how you can help it pass.
Action
Policy sets the direction, but plants in the ground make the difference. We install native gardens, speak to local groups, and help residents get started with their own native plant projects.

Native Gardens for Schools and Public Institutions
A native garden is a living classroom and a welcoming space for birds, bees, and butterflies. We can help schools, libraries, community centers, and other public institutions design and plant a native garden, and we can help secure funding for the project through grants.
