Be Water Wise Rebate

Offers water-saving rebates and grants, landscape classes, water-wise garden inspiration and tons of helpful tips on how to lower your water use. If planning to convert your turf to a native garden, look into their “Turf Replacement Program”. You must submit your application BEFORE removing sod.

Fullerton Arboretum and Botanical Garden Plants Info

A fantastic and close-by spot to see native plants as they might be in our landscapes. Fullerton Aboretum also offers semi-regular plant sales with many native plants that are well suited for our gardens.

CalScape Info

Created by the California Native Plant Society, Calscape is a feature rich catalog of native plants. Find the perfect plants for your space – search by region, size, color, or care requirements. Also available in spanish.

Laguna Hills Nursery Plants

Laguna Hills Nursery is a local for-profit nursery and does not specialize in native plants, but they have a small selection of native plants and their Gary’s Top Pot soil mix is perfect for potted native plants. They are conveniently located at 17th and Tustin Ave and offer high quality plants, but expect to pay slightly more than at specialist native nurseries.

CNPS - Orange County Chapter Info Plants

The California Native Plant Society is a 501(c)(3) which does a lot of work to help conserve our native habitats. They also host field trips, plant sales, and other events. CNPS is a wonderful source of news and educational material.

Theodore Payne Plants Info

A 501(c)(3) non-profit out of Sun Valley, Theodore Payne Foundation has the widest selection of native plants in the LA/Orange County area. If you're willing to make the drive, they also host classes, events, and workshops. Past presentations are available on Youtube @TheodorePayne.

California Botanical Garden Info Plants

An 86 acre botanical garden with curated collections of more than 22,000 California native plants. Located in Claremont, California Botanical Garden also offers classes, family-friendly events, and has an on-site native plant nursery.

Homegrown National Park Info

Homegrown National Park (HNP) raises awareness and urgently inspires everyone to address the biodiversity crisis by adding native plants and removing invasive ones where we live, work, learn, pray, and play.

Native West Nursery Info

A native plant nursery further south in San Diego. They have a wide range of helpful guides and plant lists on their website. Unfortunately, they're too far away from Santa Ana to be a good source of plants.
